Dear Friends,
Thank you for taking the time to get to know us. We feel privileged that you or someone you know may consider us as adoptive parents for their baby. We realize that this decision will be the result of much thought, prayer and many sleepless nights. We pray that you will find peace and hope in the future.
Both of our children have come into our family through adoption. There is nothing more important to us then being the best parents possible. Our lives are centered around our family and we hope to be given the opportunity to focus our attention on a new baby as well.
As you read our profile, we hope that you can feel of our excitement to have another child in our family and that you can sense the sincerity in our hearts. It is such a blessing to be part of the very special and sacred adoption process. We feel that adoptive families are meant to be and that God’s hand is in all things.

If you walked inside our home today you would find a happy family of four who loves to have fun and spend time together. Lars is a dentist and Bethany is a stay-at-home mom. Lars chose to become a dentist so that he would have plenty of time to spend with his family and be able to provide a comfortable lifestyle for us. Bethany left her career in marketing to be a full-time mom, when Finn was born, a decision she has never regretted. We plan to help our children receive the best education possible so that they will have as many wonderful opportunities as we have had.
We are a family that places a high priority on fun and we work hard so that we have the time and opportunities that help us to relax, exercise, explore the world, and strengthen our friendships. As parents, we have enjoyed introducing our kids to our favorite activities; hiking, biking, skiing, traveling and boating. We also enjoy taking them swimming, to the park, museums, and the zoo. We look forward to watching our children grow and develop and plan to support them in whatever hobbies or interests they choose, helping them to reach their full potential and develop the talents and gifts that they have been blessed with.
Bethany loves to decorate – so our house looks and feels cozy and welcoming. We live in a great established neighborhood with wonderful families surrounding us. We also live close to our own extended families so there are lots of children to play with. We have an awesome dog named Scout who is a very gentle and friendly Labradoodle. We both love animals and feel that she is an important part of our family.
Lars is quiet and reserved at first. But once you get to know him, you will find that he is fun and enthusiastic about life. He is passionate about his hobbies and really loves to get into something; whether it is skiing, biking or motorcycles. He knows everything there is to know about the sport (and all of the gear associated with it). As a father and husband his is gentle, thoughtful, spiritual, patient and a good listener. He always finds a way to include Finn and Hazel in whatever he is doing. Whether they are working on something in the garage or hiking in the mountains, Lars slows down to teach them and let them explore.
Bethany lights up a room when she walks in. She is outgoing, energetic and creative. She rarely sits at home; instead she and the kids go on adventures. They are always learning something and discovering new places to visit. Every night, at bedtime, she reads Finn and Hazel stories, which is one of their favorite parts of the day. Bethany loves to be creative and is always helping someone decorate their house, or working on ours. She loves to shop! As a mother and wife, she has a well of love that never runs dry. She is a very spiritual and nurturing person who hates to see anyone sad or hurt.
Finn is such an easy-going kid. He loves to play with his many friends and cousins, play soccer and baseball, and be tickled. He is fun and very sweet. He is the best big brother in the world. Long before we knew Hazel was coming to our family, he prayed daily for a little brother or sister. He eagerly awaited Hazel’s arrival and has lovingly doted on her ever since. He is so kind and gentle with her, always willing to share and help her with anything. He would love another sibling and has already started praying for another little brother or sister to join our family.
Hazel has a ton of spunk and personality. She is already very opinionated. She loves to cuddle and hug, read stories, and sing songs. She adores her big brother Finn and enjoys playing with him. She is obsessed with shoes and always wants to wear everyone else's shoes (even strangers). She loves to climb on and cuddle with our dog Scout. She is a talker and a true girl! Hazel loves babies and would love nothing more then to be a big sister.
We have been very happily married for over fifteen years. We agree that marrying one another was the best decision we have ever made. We are still in love after all these years and attribute our success to being kind, forgiving, and patient with one another.
We are in awe of the sacred gift given to adoptive parents through birthmothers. We developed a close relationship with both Finn and Hazel’s birth mothers and love them deeply. We are still in close contact with them and enjoy sending letters and pictures on a regular basis. Hazel’s birth mom has been to visit several times since Hazel was born and we have loved spending time with her.

Lars, Bethany, Finn and Hazel
